Mid-Term Break:

School will be closed for mid-term break for five days from Monday 12th to Friday 16th February with a normal school day on Monday 19th.

HALF-DAY:

The school will finish tomorrow, Friday 9th February, at 12:00 to facilitate parent/teacher meetings.

***CHILDREN ENTITLED TO FREE SCHOOL MEALS CAN REMAIN IN SCHOOL UNTIL 12.45 TO ALLOW THEM TO HAVE DINNER***

If it helps, other children can remain on site until 1pm but no later, please, as we’ll have no staff to supervise.

Sleep … What are you yawn about?? … Some of our children do not get enough sleep and they could yawn for Ireland. Too many of them are doing their own thing with phones / electronic devices. Please have them turn their devices off at an appropriate time. Tired children are 28% less likely to retain new information compared to the children who get enough sleep.

Confirmation / Cóineartú

As you are aware, children in Rang 7 will be making their Confirmation on Thursday 22nd February at 11:30 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Chapel, Donegall Street.

Children should go directly to the chapel wearing their school uniform and should be seated for 11:15 a.m.  The school will provide Confirmation badges.  No candles are required.

The children will be free to go home after the service with parents/guardians.

Coaching sessions:

We have obtained six coaching sessions to include multi-sports for Rang 3 /4 and Rang 5 / 6 / 7.  This will take place in the Reccy on Thursday mornings commencing Thursday 22nd February.  Please ensure your children wear appropriate footwear and a coat for walking to and from the school.

Rugby Sessions – these will start soon for R5-7. This will include sessions on looking after ourselves with diet and mental health.

Swimming:

Rang 7 will be going swimming on Wednesday 21st February.
